About Us
Matt is the brains & hands behind Driftwood Trailers. Each teardrop is designed and built start-to-finish by him.
Matt’s professional background lies in home construction & remodeling. Fine details and woodworking are his expertise, which translate nicely into teardrop design.
Matt and his wife Hannah started out tent camping, which is only so fun for so long. This led to exploring the world of tear-dropping and the quick realization that the coolest teardrops also come with the biggest price tags. So we got to work and made our own.
Matt wanted to continue expanding on the ideas he’d created in our first teardrop, and we discovered a community of like-minded campers that were interested in what he had to offer.
Driftwood Trailers got up and running in 2020 and has become Matt’s full-time job. We hope to serve our fellow teardrop campers for years to come.

Our goal is to provide a high-quality, beautiful teardrop trailer that you can be proud of, at an affordable price.
We also hope that, through our teardrop, you are better able to experience and appreciate the beauty of nature all around us.
The Name
The name & creation of Driftwood Trailers reflects the beauty of Minnesota’s North Shore and the roaming, free spirit of camping.
Honorable Mentions
Our website would not be complete without mentioning our supervisor, adventure partner, and rescue pitbull, Memphis. His favorite thing is to come camping with us. The teardrop is pet-approved!
